Warranty Certificate
Mustang Trailers guarantees that each HS Systems Trailer manufactured in Canada, when used by the
original purchaser under normal conditions within Canada and the United States, will be free from defects
in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of the original retail purchase,
subject to the terms, exclusions, and limitations set forth below.
Warranty Coverage
The exclusive remedy under this warranty is limited, at the factory’s discretion, to the repair or
replacement of any component found to be defective in materials or workmanship under normal
use during the warranty period.
Exclusions
This Limited Warranty is void if the trailer is:
• Rented, or
• Used for commercial hauling exceeding the specified load capacity (lbs per inch).
Registration Requirement
To validate this Limited Warranty, proof of purchase must be submitted to Mustang Trailers Ltd.
at the time of registration.
Warranty Registration Requirement
To validate this Limited Warranty, you must provide documentation of your purchase. A registration
card is included with the Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin supplied with each trailer. This card
must be completed and mailed to MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD., 75040 RANGE RD 21-2,
LETHBRIDGE COUNTY, AB T1K 8G7 within ten (10) days of the purchase date.
Canadian law requires that a record of purchase be maintained. Failure to complete and return
the warranty registration within the specified period will result in this Limited Warranty being
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY – FRAME STRUCTURE
Subject to the requirements, exclusions, and limitations stated below, the structure of your HS
Systems Trailer is warranted to the original retail purchaser against defects in materials and
workmanship by MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD. under normal use for a period of one (1) year from
the date of purchase.
For the purposes of this warranty, the structure is defined as the main frame, including the bottom
rails, cross members, side posts, exterior walls, roof rails and bows, and the sub-frame—excluding
the floorboards and running gear.
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Subject to the requirements, exclusions, and limitations stated below, all other components of
your HS SYSTEMS TRAILER—including electrical, lights, mechanical jacks, sealants, locks, and
couplers—are warranted to the original retail purchaser against defects in materials and
workmanship by MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD. arising from normal use for a period of one (1) year
from the date of purchase.
Components Warranted by Other Manufacturers
The following items are expressly excluded from this Limited Warranty, as they are covered
separately by their respective manufacturers: tires, rims, axles and axle components (including
tow-in/tow-out and camber), brake components, springs and suspension components,
couplers, jacks, and any other parts purchased and installed by MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD.
Any warranty claims related to these components must be submitted directly to the applicable
manufacturer for adjustment. Subject to the other terms of this Limited Warranty, MUSTANG
TRAILERS LTD. warrants only the proper installation of these items.
EXCLUSIONS NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY
This Limited Warranty applies only to defects in original components that arise under normal use.
It does not cover any trailer that has been subjected to negligence, accident, abuse, misuse,
improper loading, or any repair or alteration performed without the prior written authorization of
MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD.
The following are specifically excluded from coverage under this Limited Warranty:
• Damage caused by failure to provide proper and timely maintenance or repair.
• Loose or improperly torqued lug nuts.
• Use of an incorrect or modified hitch ball, improper latching, or loose nuts, bolts, or screws.
(The owner is solely responsible for maintaining proper tightness of all fasteners.)
• Tow vehicle wiring.
• Any replacement work, modifications, or options installed by others.
• Deterioration of paint, finish, or overall appearance caused by normal use and exposure.
• Loss of time, inconvenience, rental of substitute equipment, loss of revenues, commercial
loss, or loss of use of the trailer.
• Normal wear to the tow vehicle.
• Any use of the trailer with a towing vehicle exceeding the vehicle manufacturer’s rated
towing capacity.
PRIOR AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED
No reimbursement will be provided to any dealer, service facility, or trailer owner for repair work
performed without the prior written consent of MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD.
Any defective parts must be returned, freight prepaid, to MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD. for inspection
in-order to qualify for replacement or reimbursement under this Limited Warranty.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The sole and exclusive obligation of MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD. under this Limited Warranty is
limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts at its factory, or at another repair facility
expressly approved in writing by Mustang Trailers Ltd.
If repairs are not completed within a reasonable time, or if the warranty otherwise fails of its
essential purpose, any damages shall be strictly limited to the lesser of:
1. The reasonable cost of required repairs; or
2. The reduction in the fair market value of the trailer caused by the defect.
DISCLAIMERS
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
CONDITIONS, OR GUARANTEES, WHETHER WRITTEN, ORAL, EXPRESS, STATUTORY, OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, AND
• ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE EXTENT SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTIES CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED UNDER APPLICABLE
CANADIAN LAW, THEY ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO A DURATION OF ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE
DATE OF PURCHASE, UNLESS A LONGER PERIOD IS REQUIRED BY LAW.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL MUSTANG TRAILERS LTD. BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL,
INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE,
LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL OR ECONOMIC
DAMAGES, WHETHER ARISING INCONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, UNLESS PROHIBITED BY
APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW.
NO REPRESENTATIVE, DEALER, OR AGENT OF HS SYSTEMS TRAILERS IS AUTHORIZED TO
EXTEND, EXPAND, OR MODIFY THE TERMS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. AUTHORIZED
WARRANTY REPAIRS DO NOT EXTEND OR RENEW THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY PERIOD.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS NON-TRANSFERABLE AND APPLIES ONLY TO THE ORIGINAL
RETAIL PURCHASER.
